Remembering Gorgeous Gwenie

November 18, 1996 to May 25, 2013

Many of you already know that we all lost a dear and sweet twitter pal Saturday as she crossed OTRB. Gorgeous Gwenie (@Gorgeousgwenie) was the beloved doggie companion and best friend to her daddy (@paulkuss2012). They spent more than 16 ½ years together.

 

 

You can tell by the photos and tweets that they loved each other very, very much. Gwenie lived a long, happy life and was truly a blessing for her daddy and all that knew her. In Twitterville alone, Gwenie touched a lot of lives with almost 3,000 followers! No doubt at all how much Gwenie is loved and will be sorely missed, by both her real life and her virtual family and friends.

So, Mamma and I wanted to do something nice for Gwenie and her daddy. Mamma and I have lost a few cats and humans over the years, and mamma lost a dog only a couple weeks before adopting me, so we know this is going to be a difficult, lonely time for Gwenie’s daddy. We hope he knows there are a lot of us here to talk to when and if he feels like doing so. Everyone deals with these things in their own way and in their own time, but knowing they are not alone is a good thing.

When someone dies you feel so helpless and want to do something to remember the dearly departed, as well as to console the grieving loved ones. Twitter pals have united in remembering Gwenie and showing support for her daddy by displaying avatars with Gwenie’s photo and the words “Forever Gorgeous.”

 

 

Friends, acquaintances, and strangers have also shared many messages of condolences. The outpouring of love on various social media networks has been amazing. Anipals and doggie pals are really great at rallying together.
